Yemeni drones targeted Saudi military positions at Abha International Airport in the Kingdom’s south late Sunday.
Yemeni armed forces spokesman, General Yahya Saree said the explosive-laden drones struck struck military positions and sensitive targets at Abha International Airport in southern Saudi Arabia.
He said the attack was in response to the Saudi-led coalition’s increased airstrikes against the Yemeni nation and the continued siege on the country, Al-Masirah TV reported.
Meanwhile on Sunday, Saudi-led coalition staging brutal aggression on Yemen since March 2015, claimed it had intercepted and destroyed an explosive-laden drone over Yemeni airspace, Reuters news agency reported.
Earlier last week, Yemeni drones targeted the same airport.
Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is Riyadh’s ally.
Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured by Saudi-led airstrikes.
The Arab impoverished country has been also under harsh blockade b the coalition which includes in addition to the Kingdom, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Sudan.
