Libyan Government of national Accord forces announced the defeat of Khalifa Hafatr militants in three battle lines in Tripoli.
Al-Arabia also indirectly admitted the defeat of militants in eastern Libya and reported: The Libyan army says it will take time to complete the Tripoli battle.
Haftar has the backing of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, as well as France and Russia, while Tripoli is supported by Qatar, Turkey and Italy.
Eight months of fighting in which dozens have been killed has yet to be fought and clashes continue.
